We are in startup mode and therefore we are also looking for someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up in a fast-moving environment.

Summary
The Operations team at Birexo will be a key driver to our success. Ensuring that customers have a great experience, through systems is paramount. There are three core elements to operations at Birexo i. payment operations, ii. operational resilience, and iii. customer support.
Across these areas we are passionate about aligning them with Birexo's core values. As COO, you will help us build and run a FinTech that brings a great journey coupled with our core values to our customers.
Therefore, you will be responsible for overseeing our day-to-day operations and ensuring that Birexo’s business is running smoothly. You will work closely with other members of the executive team to develop and execute our business strategy.
You will also work closely with other departments, including technology, marketing, and finance, to ensure that our operations are aligned with our business objectives.
As the COO, you will also help shape and oversee Birexo’s systems, processes and people that will be required to underpin Birexo’s operations and deliver to the forecast revenue, expense budgets and timing.
This is a critical role for Birexo and a perfect opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Fintech Chief Operating Officer to join the firm as it begins to scale.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Help build and support our authorisation application with the Central Bank of Ireland (“CBI”). Build and Manage the day-to-day operational functions of Birexo’s business with multiple teams under your remit.
Develop operational strategies and support departments in growing teams that align with Birexo's goals and objectives coupled with problem solving.
Be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in when needed, and also be able to take a higher level view and adjust overall strategy based on what you see and observe.
Ensure the business delivers on its promises to clients, including good customer outcomes and ensuring customer feedback remains very positive.
Work with marketing to oversee the development of new products and services by collaborating with other stakeholders to identify new opportunities and develop strategies to build financial products that meet customer needs, as well as regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the teams working with the KYC (“Know Your Customer”) onboarding process for our B2B and B2C customers, working closely with our compliance and other teams to continuously improve and enhance Birexo’s onboarding processes.
Involved in supporting the CEO in negotiating partnerships with other companies/infrastructure partners or commercial partnerships that might help grow Birexo.
Support the CEO in achieving Birexo’s objectives and strategies as delegated by the Board.
Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fintech operations ( Payments or E-Money), including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies to support the growth and sustainability of a fintech company.
A proven track record of scaling operations in technology-driven companies Prior leadership experience covering operational payments management.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a diverse employees.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with partners, and other stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively. Comfort rolling your sleeves up- we’re a small firm, and you’ll need to step in to fill the gaps from time to time.
