​Details: Launch of Crypto Assets Ireland.  Congratulations Joe McCann and others for walking the walk when many other just talk the talk by launching Crypto Assets Ireland. Launch date Thursday 30th January 2025 (link below to register your request to attend).

Fintech Ireland is very happy to be one of the first supporters of this excellent initiative to build a network and voice for the #cryptoasset and #digitalasset community in Ireland to help issuers, exchanges and service providers and those closely connected to scale locally and globally.

Attendees:  We are going to ask for some patience. We will prioritise booking requests from VASPs, CASPs and those going through the regulatory process. Then will will do our best to accommodate other stakeholders to attend as much as possible. This will be subject to the size of the venue, and if we need a bigger boat, I think we can find one.

Digital money is increasing in popularity across the world.

This 3-part series, convened by Armstrong Teasdale, the British Kazakh Law Association (BKLA), Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), and 36 Commercial, aims to bring together experts and those affected by digital money regulation.

The Vilnius (Online-Nov 2022) and London (Feb 2023) events will give the audience the opportunity to discuss regulation.

These will be published in a wide-ranging report that will be shared with policy makers at a digital money conference in Vilnius in summer 2023.

Founder of Fintech Ireland and Fintech UK, Peter Oakes, will moderate a panel of anti-financial crime experts on crypto assets, including Danielle Jukes, FINTRAIL; Fabian K. Fuchs, BA, CAMS, Bitpanda and Stephane Leloup, Luxembourg Stock Exchange. 

Follow the money with case studies from crypto-organisations detailing how digital transactions are traced and financial crime prevented. Panelists will:

• Discuss how cryptocurrency has been used to conceal proceeds of crime and evade economic sanctions
• Assess how traceability of crypto transactions can be used to support anti money laundering efforts
• Challenge the control frameworks used to conduct due diligence on source of funds and wealth
• Explore common issues related to the implementation of FATF travel rule and transfer of customer data
