Fintech Ireland is delighted to host Cameron Carr, Senior Policy Specialist Markets and Funds Policy – Policy and International, Central Bank of Ireland on Thursday 28th May 2026 at 1000am (Irish time) at this Webinar to discuss its DLT & Tokenisation in Financial Services Discussion Paper 12.

  • Cameron will anchor the webinar with his presentation on the CBI's Discussion Paper #12 on #Tokenisation and Distributed Ledger Technology (#DLT) in Financial Services.
  • Following the presentation Carla and Joe will join to add their unique insights into this highly topical conversation on tokenisation and DLT.

Key takeaways will include:
  1. Why is Central Bank issuing the Discussion Paper (DP). How the DP might stimulate informed dialogue on the future role of DLT and tokenisation applications within the Irish and European financial services ecosystem. If enabled and deployed correctly how might it change the financial system for the better, including by helping the EU deliver on its objectives to integrate and deepen its financial markets.
  2. Engaging stakeholders (such as market participants, technologists, academics, innovators, investors, consumers, peers and policymakers) to examine the implications of DLT for financial market functioning.
  3. Inform the public how the Central Bank will use the DP to help inform its view on how the potential benefits of this technology can be realised, and the risks managed.
